The Imkerverein Langstroth Berlin e.V. (Berlin Langstroth Beekeepers Club) is a group of beekeepers from around Berlin who are particularly interested in beekeeping with Langstroth hives. Developed in the nineteenth century by L.L. Langstroth, this type of hive is a standard in many parts of the world, but it is only one of many commonly used in Germany. We meet regularly to exchange ideas and provide our members with resources and support in beekeeping with Langstroth hives. We also offer an annual beekeeping course for beginners.
Our members include a number of people who speak English, including native speakers. We encourage English-speaking beekeepers or those interested in beekeeping in Berlin to get in touch with us.
